Champions League: Arsenal vs Barcelona 2nd Leg Recap

1 – 3
Arsenal v Barcelona

Brilliant game for Barcelona!  They just bulldozed Arsenal off the pitch.  Barca ruled the game as they rarely let Arsenal hold the ball.  It was definitely a one-sided match as the action was mostly in Arsenal’s court.  Barca registered 17 attempts (10 of them on target) while Arsenal had zero (yes, that’s right, zero, nil, none).

You would think Barca was playing against some so-so team, but Arsenal is one of the best in the Premiere League.  Barca was just in another level in this match.  (commentator said they are the best team in the world right now, with the way they played in this match, that’s not very far from the truth)

Curiously, Arsenal’s goalie was substituted during first half as he was injured from what seemed to be an easy save.

Barca kept it clean with zero yellow cards.  I would have loved Messi to score a hat-trick, hoping one of his many attempts would hit the back of the net.

On another note… with Puyol and Pique’s absence, you would really see how… not so tall the Barcelona  players are J
